Scrappage is back and you could save £2,000 off the list price of a brand new Ford!
So, how does it work?
It’s all relatively simple, if your car was registered before January 1st 2013 and you’ve owned it for over 90 days, your car is eligible for the scheme. The scrap vehicle does NOT have to be a Ford to qualify
And the car is worth £2000?
Yes, even if your car really has seen better days, it’s still worth £2,000 against the list of a new Ford.
How long does the scheme last?
Vehicles have to be ordered by the 30th September 2019 to qualify.
What happens to my old car?
The car will be environmentally and responsibly disposed off (scrapped) by a licensed agent, the only exception are cars that have been given historic status which do not have to be scrapped.
What’s the idea behind Scrappage?
Ford UK MD Andy Barratt said this:
“Our last Ford scrappage scheme saw 25,500 customers trade-in their older vehicles for Ford models equipped with our latest emissions and fuel-efficiency technologies, contributing to reducing CO2 and other emissions on U.K roads,” said Andy Barratt, managing director, Ford of Britain. “We expect our new Ford scrappage to also have a positive impact on the environment.”
What vehicles are included?
Almost the entire range of Ford cars that we supply are included. Excluded vehicles include; KA+, Fiesta Trend, all Zetec, Zetec Edition and ST models.
Sounds great, anything else?
Yes, at the moment Ford are offering 0% Finance AND £1000 deposit contribution on a number of vehicles across the range. If you are thinking about upgrading now really is a great time to do it!
